캐나다 간호학과 3학년 과목 정리

9월 (Fall semester: 15 credits)  - 3학년 1학기 

HH/NURS 3515 Research and Inquiry credit: 3.00 

• 과목 설명: This course introduces students to nursing research, the importance of research in nursing decision making and practice. In particular it introduces undergraduate nursing students to: how to form practice question, retrieve, appraise and translate evidence to support a safe nursing practice. This course prepares students for evidence-informed nursing practice. Using a nursing practice scenario, students will learn how to appraise the research process including the appraisal of research questions, literature review, identifying knowledge gaps in the literature, and appraising conceptual frameworks/theories that guide research studies
• 후기: 모든 과목이 그렇지만, 교수님에 따라 많이 달라지는 과목인 것 같다. 심지어는 시험대신 에세이로 대신하는 경우도 있을 정도로 많이 달라진다. 과목 자체는 논문을 이해하고 읽을 수 있게 하는 과목인 것 같았는데. 실제로 self study 같은 느낌을 많이 받았다. 에세이를 많이 쓰기도 했고 그룹 프레젠테이션도 있고, research paper 을 굉장히 여러번 많이 분석하고 읽었다.

SC/BIOL 2900 Microbiology credit: 3.00 

• 과목 설명: an introductory course in medical microbiology designed for nursing students.
• 후기: 교수님에 따라서 많이 달라지는 과목. 내가 수업 들은 교수님과 작년에 3학년 친구들이 들은 교수님이 다른 교수님이었는데, 아예 수업 커리큘럼, 교재까지 모두 달랐다. 나는 온라인 수업이었고 셀프스터디라고 볼 수 밖에 없을 정도로,, 수업이 모두 작년 녹화본 유튜브 강의였다. 내용은 굉장히 유익했고 시험 문제도 모두 수업에서 출제되었으나, 굉장히 녹화복이 길고, 노트가 따로 없어서 정리하는 데 엄청난 시간이 소요되었다. 

Nursing or Non-Nursing Elective credit: 3.00 

• 후기: 욕대에서 Nursing Elective 2과목 그리고 Non nursing elective 2과목을 들어야 졸업을 할 수 있는데, 4학년 1학기까지 모두 들어야 졸업을 할 수 있다. 리스트를 통해서 찾아서 신청하면 된다. 나는 non nursing elective 하나는 여름방학에 들었고 온라인으로 들어서 수월하게 한국에서 들으면서 credit을 채웠다. 친구들에게 수소문하면서 더 쉬운 과목이나 성적을 잘 받을 수 있는 과목을 듣는 것을 추천한다. 전공과목 이외에 교양에 너무 많은 시간을 할애하는 건 너무 비효율적이라고 생각하기 때문에 (나의 개인적인 생각) 

HH/NURS 3524 Client-centered Care of Individuals and Families in Child and Mental health settings credit: 6.00

• 과목 설명:Students enact client-centred care with individuals and families in child health and mental health settings. Knowledge from nursing and other disciplines (e.g.developmental psychology) inform the approach to care. The practicum experiences provide opportunities for students to refine their decision making and practice skills as well as gain confidence as theory-guided evidence-informed practitioners. The practicum experience will consist of twelve weeks either in mental health or a child health setting. As theory and practice inform each other, the clinical practica and classroom theory will be taught concurrently. 
• 후기: Nurs2524과목은 2과목 (Mental health, childs) 을 한 학기에 반으로 나눠서 번갈아 가면서 듣는 과목이다. 그리고 실습은 둘 중 하나의 과목으로 나가게 되는데, 나는 Mental Health 실습을 했고, 실습은 온라인으로 진행했다. 두 과목도 내가 수업들었을 때랑 작년 3학년들이 들은 커리큘럼, 그리고 시험 %률이 아예 달라져서 매번 course outline을 꼭 확인하는 게 중요하다고 생각이 들었다. 내용 자체는 굉장히 흥미롭고 재밌었지만 시험 난이도는 조금 있는 편이었다. 어디에서 시험이 나올 지 모른다는 재미가 있었음 ^^ㅎ,, 

1월 (Winter semester: 15 credits)

HH/NURS 3514 Nurse as Leader and Agent of Change credit: 3.00 

• 과목 설명:This course provides nursing students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills related to leadership and change within the context of professional nursing practice. Students will work with multiple theoretical models of leadership and change and examine their applicability to nursing practice. Students will analyze, opportunities and barriers to leading change in the course of nursing practice 
• 후기: 이 과목은 재밌는 과목이었다. 온라인 수업이라 집중하기 어려운 부분이 있긴 했지만. 내용 자체는 굉장히 재밌었다. 리더쉽에 관한 내용이라서 널싱과 관련되어있다기보다는 좋은 널스가 되는 (?) 그런 이론을 가르치는 과목이었다. 그룹 프로젝트가 많아서 그런 점이 조금 피곤했다. 

HH/PSYC 2021 Statistical Methods credit: 3.00 

• 과목 설명:The fundamental concepts and application of descriptive statistics. An introduction to probability and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing with the normal- and t-distributions. 
• 후기: 이 과목은 수학적인 (?) 과목이었던 것 같은데 진짜 .. 교수님마다 커리큘럼, 가르치는 방식이 아예 달라서 Rate my professor을 꼭 꼭 확인하고 후기 좋은 교수님을 신청하기를 강력 추천하고 싶다. 교수님에 따라 과제 난이도가 달라짐 ^^;

HH/NURS 4526 Client-Centred Care of Individuals and Families in Homes and Acute Settings credit: 6.00 

• 과목 설명: Students enact family/client-centred care with individuals and families, experiencing health challenges in home and acute care settings. Family theories and models of care are an essential component of this course. The unique contribution of nursing in home health care is studied. Family theories in nursing and other disciplines inform the construction and interpretation of family/centred approaches to care 
• 후기: Med surge 의 상위버전 같은 느낌의 과목이었는데, 개인적으로 재밌었다. 시험 공부는 열심히 해야겠지만,, 재밌게 공부한 과목이었다. 시험이 대부분이라서 과제가 없다는 장점이 있다.
